Thought i'd ask you guys opinion here. I was running Mafia 2 pretty well on my older q6600 @ 3.0 OC with dd2-800. My bench mark @ 1680x1050 was around average 25 but mostly hovered around 40s-50s. Since then, i have upgraded to an i5-760, same amount of ddr3-1333 ram, reinstalled windows (even tho i did drag and drop my steam directory to save my games) and now i am getting ave 59 FPS but also tiny little slowdown every maybe 10 seconds or so.
I am forcing 2x AA with 4x SS (get good results) but can't figure out why i am getting these. I have defragged, disabled phyx, messed around with all the M2 video settings but it persists. Any body got some other ideas?
Error report when starting Mafia II I have just recently bought Mafia II and havent actually got to play it at all yet as i cant even get to the menu on the game, iv played the demo perfectly fine but at that time i had older graphics cards in (2x Geforce 8800GTX ) now i have the gigabyte gtx 460 super overclock, thats the only thing i can think of that could be a fault. When I play the Chapter 14, mission Stairway to Heaven, I kill Derek, then I go into his office to take the money. In this moment appear the icon of saving, but the game freezes. This thing happens everytime I load the game, so I cannot get to the end. Could it be a damaged disc? I've just received it for Christmas (ten days ago), and I've only put the cd into the Playstation (never put that out of the console).

I have completed the DLC and have a 100% percent save with many custom cars (paint, tuning) and every mission is now unlocked as you know. I have tried driver update, 3 new keyboards and language checks on control panel!!?? Any other suggestions of fixes please!!!! So I bought the DLC from playstation store and installed it, but how do i get it to start? In the game i will only go back to the final boss again if i choose to 'continue story' and starting a new game will do just that and also delete my old game progress.
