Sengoku Rance Save File
At least youre responding and trying to be helpful, which is really appreciated. Luckily i was able to figure something out using cheat engine. Still a bit confused on it but with a little experimenting ill figure it out, or corrupt my sengoku rance file.
Sengoku Rance is a great game. I have even tried to find games with similar gameplay without porn because I enjoyed it so much. But seems like the only mainstream games of this type is Fire Emblem, and that is Nintendo exclusive and I don't have that. If anyone know of similar games for PC I would really like to know about it. Edit: It also amazes me that this series does not get more attention on this forum. Sengoku Rance is better than every other game in this Visual Novels subforum.

Heres the long explanation: I downloaded Sengoku Rance and I have a somewhat strange problem. When I closed the game and started it the other day something really peculiar happened.
I press continue and there are no saves so what I did was I went back to the title screen (right click) and pressed continue again. There were saves and I could load the and continue playing from when I left but after some time passed I saw that every time I loaded a game the CG collection reset. So my question is what to do to fix it? My operating system is Win 7 if it matters. And if you need more info about what i tried, just ask I'd be happy to give it if it'll get things going correctly with the game. Sorry for the bad english (not my first language). I had to change the rights of the directory of save games. In fact by default the program couldn’t write in it.

According to the info ive found it appears that the folder where the saves go is unable be written to. Can you give me the info where the saves are located then Ill tell you how to edit the folder. You have to give the folder permission to allow saves to be written there. Hope i explained that right.

I don't think I have any problems with permissions because I'm the main admin And by what I read I maybe haven't explained my problem correctly. 1 My game does make savegame files correctly ( no crashing or anything) 2 I am able to load them (somewhat) But the problem is that I can't load them from the first time (try).

What happens: I Start game APP -System 4.0- press continue - NO SAVES (NOTHING) - press back (returns to the main screen again) - press continue //this is the second time// - there are all my saves and the autosave - press load - loads succesfully - seems like stats and stuff are alright (in the items menu his ERO diary is filled correctly) but then i press system (F1 or in the bottom left corner button) and select CG mode (no pics except Opening movie). Update: I Tried the permissions thing I edited My permissions to the WHOLE game folder not the saves only (granting FULL permisions for everyone) So the result is - Loading the saves happens from the first try BUT there are still no CG scenes (in CG mode) except the Opening movie (I'm getting the feeling that CGs are supposed to reset and that I asked a stupid question /a really stupid question/) Also i've deleted the game once so the test save file im using is from a new game up to the point where he sleeps with Sill (which is actually the first unlocked scene). Solved the problem - I used a boot CD with micro WIN XP and some diagnostics tools In micro XP no problems loading or playing whatsoever Diagnostics tools show NO other side Processed Attached to the Running app. So I ran the diagnostics on WIN 7 system and I was astonished there was a process running (constantly checking the folder) - the winner was micro torrent And I'll cut to the chase with no explanations which will get people confused.
