Network Connect 7.1.0
Using OS X 10.8.3 Beta Build 12D78, Juniper Network Connect does not load via Safari URL. Please help I need to access our. Second, does Network Connect use Java? Given the Xprotect. I have Network Connect 7.1.0 (20169) running on 10.8.3 on three different Macs: MBP 15' 8,2. MBAir 13' 4,2.
First, talking about pre-release software here is against the forum rules. I'd suggest using the seed forums or the developer forums, which are the proper venue. I'd suspect Apple would be interested in hearing this, and these are user-to-user forums, which are not monitored or staffed by Apple. Second, does Network Connect use Java? Given the Xprotect framework has been updated numerous times which disables insecure Java versions, you need to ensure you have the absolute latest Java 1.7 version if in fact Network Connect uses Java, which I think it does. Hi, and thank you (changed to regular ID - this is Dan though). I am going to try uninstalling and pulling it back down today but i am pretty certain we haven't loaded the newer build yet. Also appears that on one system we tried uninstalling, it does not re-install the framework, but 'sits' on the screen where the script (cgi I think) should pull down and install the framework (if not present), but no permissions boxes appears.
Junos client (3.x and 4.0) continue to work flawlessly. Thanks again for the input - if you find out anything else, really appreciate the feedback; I'll do the same once we hear back on a case we opened. Best, Dan Mar 15, 2013 7:03 PM. Hello, I have it 'fixed', but it's odd and it relates to the update only as far as I can tell.
I am documenting, and I filed a bug with Apple via other means. In the meantime, do this: Download the full Mt Lion 10.8.3 installer. Install the new full build (you won't lose data, just system updates). After install, login and download: and Install Java from Apple, then Oracle. Goto this page, and run the test: Now, you'll likely NOT get the Java version info so click the 'missing plugin' and then find the dialog that pops up allowing Java to run. (I didn't see this until I used Mission Control to show all windows) Allow and after the Java version loads correctly, you can then load your SSL page.

I would uninstall the Network Connect app and install again using the SSL page. It will give you the version I have above. I am doing this again on another Mac to get the steps down and on paper. If you have questions, post back.If you keep getting the prompt to install the plugin or more info on the Apple page, just reload the page until you get the 'allow this xxx to run' box and allow. I've got this working now on 3/3 Macs. I know it's convoluted at the moment, so I'll try to get a better process/fix documented.
Bottom line, you won't get SSL to load until the Java-Version info appears correctly in 'pink'. Mar 15, 2013 8:17 PM.
Dan, you (as far as I can tell) need to install the full 18.8.3 installer. By full, I mean all 4.67GB complete installer. If you don't know, option-click the Purchases tab in the MAS. You can download and install the whole Mt Lion installer. Copy it from /Applications to another location before you run it as it will self-delete upon installation. I will try and test the Delta/Combos again this weekend.
Generally, I do not use Delta updates, and possibly that is what's doing this, but it's too soon to say for sure. Mar 16, 2013 3:24 AM. Apple Footer This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
